Tiago Peixoto

Tiago Peixoto

Photographer

Tiago is originally from Portugal. He was educated and worked as a Marine Biologist involved in conservation projects in Africa before transitioning toward diving and the hospitality industry while in Tanzania and Kenya. Photography had been a big part of Tiago’s life since his teens, so in 2009 he combined photography and diving, purchasing his first underwater photo setup (an Olympus E-PL1, 14-42 kit lens, Olympus PT-EP01 and an INON S-2000 strobe).

After years of traveling around Africa, Europe, Central and South America, Tiago’s journey landed him on Little Cayman in January 2016, where he worked as a Dive Instructor and Boat Captain for 3 years before joining Reef Divers and working with them and the Backscatter Underwater Video & Photo teams to launch the Reef Divers Underwater Photo Center and serve as the in-house expert.

Michael D. Tibbetts

Photographer

Michael along with his two sisters is an owner and director of JEM Worldwide LLC, parent company of Reef Divers and all three Clearly Cayman Dive Resorts. Prior to taking on a full time role in his family business, he trained as a retina specialist and practiced medicine for several years.

Michael became interested in photography while studying high-resolution optics of the human eye during medical school and ophthalmology residency. It was a natural extension into photographic image composition. With drone photography, Michael seeks out unique vantage points that highlight the natural beauty of water and landscapes, particularly in the Cayman Islands where his roots go back to the 1700s. Michael and his family currently live in Southwest Florida.

David McCleaf

David McCleaf

Photographer

David McCleaf is a Physical Therapist by profession but an avid fisherman and wildlife photographer by passion. He has fished almost every inch of the flats of Florida’s coastline in his search for bonefish. David recently had the opportunity to visit Little Cayman, where he did bonefishing he claimed to be among the best he’s experienced and explored the natural beauty of the island with his camera.

With limited time for getaways, David isn’t satisfied with a one-size-fits-all vacation, so he strives to create his own adventures in less explored and less touristy destinations. So although not a diver, which is what most people attribute to Little Cayman – he loved the numerous opportunities for fishing, photography, and fun. David and his family live in Ft. Myers, Florida.
